Yankees Ace Gerrit Cole Takes Loss Despite Strong Start Amid Defensive Errors

Cole then gave up a subsequent RBI double, allowing another run to score. He finished the game with five hits, two walks, and five strikeouts, his earned run average rising to 3.22. The Yankees' offense was unable to rally, resulting in Cole's sixth loss of the season.
