Yeni Parti appoints committee to establish Berlin branch

The Yeni Parti has established a "Call Committee" tasked with organizing its branch in Berlin, signaling a new phase for the party's international outreach. The committee, appointed by the party's Deputy Chairman for Foreign Organizations, Nurhayat Altaca Kayışoğlu, will convene its inaugural meeting on Sunday, August 23.

The committee includes Remzi Kaplan, who will serve as its president, alongside Cem Güney Torun, Hakan Madi, Okyay Çelebi, Cumali Kangal, Gizem Karaçay, Seçil Uygungil, Koray Türkcanlı, Melis Beste Güvenalp, and Fatma Güvenç. Kaplan stated that the process began following discussions with the Yeni Parti General Headquarters in Ankara. He explained that he traveled to Ankara at the headquarters' invitation and held positive meetings with Kayışoğlu, leading to their appointment as the Call Committee on August 18.

The Call Committee is not a permanent or elected leadership. Its primary task is to complete the establishment process and bring the organization to a stage where democratic elections can be held.

Kaplan emphasized that the committee has received authorization from the general headquarters to manage the organizational efforts for the Yeni Parti in Berlin. He stressed that the establishment process will be conducted with a democratic and participatory approach. "The Call Committee is not a permanent or elected leadership," Kaplan noted. The committee's first meeting on August 23 is expected to clarify the legal and organizational framework of the Yeni Parti Berlin Branch, its membership procedures, establishment phases, and the date for the first general assembly. Decisions made and the roadmap to be followed will be shared with the public afterward. Kaplan highlighted the significance of the Berlin organization, stating, "A new era is beginning for the Yeni Parti Berlin Branch. Words are important in politics. But documents are more important. Berlin now has an authorization document issued by the Yeni Parti General Headquarters." He added that once the Call Committee completes its mission, the leadership will be determined by the will of the members, expressing a desire to unite "everyone who is devoted to the Yeni Parti."
