YENİ Parti Eskişehir office opens; 14 district chairs resign from CHP

YENİ Parti, a new political entity formed under the leadership of Özgür Özel, has officially opened its liaison office in Eskişehir. The opening signifies a crucial step for the party as it begins its nationwide organizational efforts.

Today, YENİ Parti has crossed an important threshold to start membership transactions all over Turkey. The organization phase will begin rapidly in the coming days.

During the office inauguration, Talat Yalaz, the founding provincial chair of YENİ Parti in Eskişehir, announced that 14 district chairs had resigned from the Republican People's Party (CHP) to join their ranks. Yalaz stated that, with the exception of the Sivrihisar Mayor, all other municipal mayors have expressed their intention to align with Özgür Özel and join YENİ Parti. This move indicates a significant shift in local political allegiances within the province.

Today, 14 of our district chairs also just gave their resignations and demonstrated their will to join YENİ Parti.

Yalaz emphasized that YENİ Parti is now ready to commence membership registration across Turkey. He invited all interested individuals to join the party in the coming days. He further indicated that more resignations from local mayors are anticipated in the near future, signaling a broader trend of political realignment. The party's foundation is built on principles of the Republic, secularism, democracy, and justice, according to Mahmudiye Mayor İshak Gündoğan, who also declared his support for Özgür Özel and YENİ Parti.
