YENİ Party Official Gökhan Günaydın: 'We Organized in 65 Provinces in One Week'

YENİ Party Deputy Group Chairman Gökhan Günaydın announced that the party has successfully organized in 65 provinces within just one week of its re-establishment. Speaking in Tokat, Günaydın asserted that YENİ Party is the leading party in Turkey and will come to power, bringing about just days. He criticized the judiciary, claiming it is not independent and is controlled by the AKP.

Günaydın detailed the party's founding, stating that on May 21, their party was seized through what he described as the AKP's guided judiciary. He rejected any claims that this was an act of an independent judiciary, referring to it as a "hammer of absolute nullity" imposed on the Republican People's Party (CHP), which he said received 38% of the vote in the last local elections. However, he noted that the YENİ Party was founded on July 24, the 103rd anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne, emphasizing their roots in the national struggle.

He reported that despite bureaucratic hurdles and a lack of speed, the party has already surpassed 300,000 members and aims to complete its organization in all 81 provinces soon. He also highlighted the party's financial success, stating that a donation campaign has raised over 411 million Turkish Liras, exceeding the state treasury aid given to the MHP. Furthermore, Günaydın revealed that 236 municipal mayors have switched to the YENİ Party, despite pressures and intimidation.

Günaydın also outlined the party's preparations for potential early elections or the general elections scheduled for May 2028. He stated that to participate in elections, their congress must be held in October, with district elections on September 12 and provincial elections on October 18. The party leader will also be elected based on member participation.
