Yeniden Refah Party Criticizes 'Framework Law': 'Neither Framework Nor Law is Clear'

Yeniden Refah Party Deputy Chairman Suat Kılıç criticized the government's proposed "framework law" related to the solution process. Speaking to reporters during a party meeting in Istanbul, Kılıç stated that while a framework for the law exists, the actual legislation is missing. He explained that lawmakers have signed a blank document, which will be used to advance the proposal to a committee. However, he asserted that no one, including the lawmakers and the public, knows the specifics of the law.

We say 'law,' but there is a framework, no law. Signatures were opened in the government's parliamentary groups for the framework. Our honorable members of parliament are signing a blank paper for now. These signatures will be used when the proposal is sent to the committee. However, as I said, no one has any information about the articles of the law. Lawmakers do not know what they are signing, and the nation does not know what is being signed. There is a solution process, there is a framework, but there is no law. The nation doesn't know, the lawmakers don't know. But the DEM Party knows, Abdullah Öcalan knows, but we don't. The opposition parties in parliament don't know. The ruling party lawmakers also don't know what they are signing. This framework that is signed, that is hung on the wall, is empty. It is not possible for us to support this mystery, to sign this uncertainty. Neither the framework of the law nor the law of the framework is clear. Therefore, the framework and the law are, in a sense, a framework without a law.

Kılıç expressed concern that only the DEM Party and Abdullah Öcalan seem to know the details, while opposition parties and even ruling party lawmakers are unaware of what they are signing. He described the situation as a "framework without a law," emphasizing the lack of clarity and transparency. The party believes that such a vague proposal cannot be supported and that the public and opposition parties must be urgently informed about both the framework and the law.

Kılıç accused the TMO of supplying cheap hazelnuts to Italian chocolate manufacturers instead of supporting local producers. He called for the TMO to purchase hazelnuts at 300 Lira per kilogram, arguing that the production cost, including labor, exceeds 200 Lira per kilogram.
