Funeral prayers for the deceased were scheduled to take place on Sunday at 4:00 pm at the Yobe Mosque and Islamic Centre in Damaturu, the state capital. Following Islamic tradition, she was to be buried immediately after the prayers. The event was expected to draw a large number of sympathizers, including party faithful, government officials, relatives, and well-wishers, all gathering to pay their last respects.
