The legal team for former President Yoon Suk-yeol has refuted claims that the ex-president shouted during his first special prosecutor's investigation, stating that it was the prosecution team that raised their voices.

Responding to media reports alleging Yoon shouted at the special prosecutor, his lawyers issued a statement asserting the reports were inaccurate. "The person who raised their voice during the morning investigation was not Yoon Suk-yeol, but the special prosecutor's team," the statement read.

They highlighted an issue raised during a previous special investigation concerning the use of only judicial police investigators, without a prosecutor present, to question a suspect. This matter was reportedly resolved during the previous investigation when a prosecutor participated directly.

"Therefore, the President clearly expressed his intention to faithfully cooperate with the investigation if a person with the status of a prosecutor, such as a special prosecutor's assistant, conducts the questioning," the statement emphasized. However, the second special prosecution team maintained that direct questioning by a prosecutor is not permissible, leading to the morning's investigation being stalled.
