A confrontation after a traffic crash in Mexico City’s Polanco district has turned the driver involved into a social-media target known as “Lord Polanco.” Witnesses and the Uber driver recorded footage after a luxury car struck the transport vehicle on Avenida Horacio.

The driver allegedly refused to arrange payment for the damage. In the recordings, he responds aggressively when asked to speak with the insurer, saying, “You don’t know who the hell I am?” A local police officer was at the scene, but the driver continued to act confrontationally.

A second companion joined him and verbally insulted people who were watching and challenging the driver’s conduct. The videos circulated online, prompting users to demand that authorities identify the person and pursue complaints over the incident.

Mexico City traffic rules require drivers involved in a crash to stop, ensure damage is covered by a valid insurance policy and remain at the scene until authorities determine responsibility.
