Young hockey player suffers cardiac arrest during training and remains in a coma, family blames school

Matthew Mayich was preparing for a new season, and his first in an Arizona State University jersey, when the young hockey defenseman collapsed during an intense outdoor training session.

Mayich, a promising player belonging to the St. Louis Blues organization, suffered a cardiac arrest in difficult conditions. He was taken to hospital and, nearly two weeks later, remains in a coma.

His family blames the school. The outlook described for the young player is bleak, with his condition appearing very unlikely to change.
