Young man dies after car hits utility pole in Boljevci

A young man has died following a car accident in Boljevci, Serbia, where his vehicle collided with a utility pole.

The fatal incident occurred shortly after midnight on Ulica mira (Peace Street) in Boljevci. Emergency medical services confirmed that the 24-year-old driver passed away at the scene. Responders were initially alerted to a car fire, but upon arrival, they determined that the vehicle had struck a utility pole.

In addition to the fatal crash in Boljevci, other incidents were reported in the Belgrade area during the night. A 36-year-old motorcyclist sustained injuries in an accident in central Belgrade shortly before midnight. Furthermore, two individuals, aged 19 and 44, were seriously injured in a fight in New Belgrade around the same time.

Emergency services reported a busy night, responding to 123 calls in total, with 30 interventions taking place in public spaces. The majority of the calls were related to chronic health issues.
