Your Heart Will Be Broken: A fake romance blossoms amid high school bullying

A new romance drama, "Your Heart Will Be Broken," explores the complexities of a high school student's life as she navigates bullying and the unexpected development of feelings within a fabricated relationship. The film centers on a student who, seeking protection from a tormentor, convinces a formidable bully to pose as her boyfriend.

What begins as a strategic alliance to ward off harassment soon takes an unforeseen turn. As the two protagonists spend more time together under the guise of a couple, the lines between pretense and reality start to blur. Genuine emotions begin to surface, challenging the initial premise of their arrangement and introducing a layer of emotional depth to their interactions.

Directed by Michael Vaynberg, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Mariya Elisovetskaya, Marianna Kadrzhanova, Evgeniya Nazipova, and Ulyana Zvereva, the film is based on a novel by Anna Dzheyn. The cast includes Veronika Zhuravleva and Daniel Vegas in the lead roles, supported by Alya Mayer, Maksim Saprykin, Evgeniya Loza, Pavel Kuzmin, and Ivan Trushin.

"Your Heart Will Be Broken" is rated for audiences aged 13 and above and has a substantial runtime of 134 minutes. The film is scheduled to be shown with subtitles at Cinemark (Paseo La Galería) in Asunción at 10:30 PM.
