Youth and teenager arrested for robberies in Zeballos Cue

Authorities in Zeballos Cue, Paraguay, have apprehended two individuals, including a minor, suspected of involvement in a string of criminal activities. The arrests were made during a preventive patrol in the San Francisco de Asís neighborhood.

The detained individuals are a 17-year-old, who has prior records for theft in 2025, and 18-year-old Mauricio Samuel Bogarín Bogarín. Police have linked them to aggravated robbery, multiple home burglaries, bicycle thefts, and the snatching of cell phones within the Zeballos Cue area.

According to police reports, officers identified the suspects through an investigation that included reviewing closed-circuit television footage and gathering descriptions from victims. Officer Blas Quintana stated that the apprehension followed a report of aggravated robbery and that the suspects were already known to police for alleged involvement in other incidents.

During the procedure, officers seized a cell phone and a knife from the suspects. The cell phone is believed to be connected to the most recent crime under investigation, while the knife is suspected of being used in the aggravated robbery. Both individuals reportedly confessed to participating in the incident being investigated.

Police noted that the minor, despite previous interventions, had been released on multiple occasions due to his age. The investigation was aided by surveillance cameras that captured images of the adolescent allegedly entering a residence early in the morning.
