Yunlin Candidate Seeks Kaohsiung's Advice on Policies for Transformation

Yunlin County Magistrate candidate Liu Chien-kuo is actively seeking insights from Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai as he prepares for the upcoming local elections. Liu visited Chen to discuss urban governance, fostering happiness in the city, and promoting youth development, aiming to gather strategies for Yunlin's transformation.

Following the meeting, Liu unveiled four key policy proposals designed to revitalize Yunlin. These include enhancing the city's happiness rankings, developing a smart technology industry cluster, establishing an AI talent cultivation base, and increasing nutritional support for schoolchildren and the elderly. Liu's initiative, themed "Brave Transformation, New Yunlin," seeks to leverage Kaohsiung's successful transition from a traditional industrial hub to a technological center.

Chen Chi-mai praised Liu's dedication and commitment, noting the potential for collaboration between Kaohsiung and Yunlin. He highlighted Liu's vision of making Yunlin a starting point for the "Greater Southern New Silicon Valley" by integrating AI, semiconductor, and smart manufacturing industries. Chen also jested that Kaohsiung might eventually compete with Yunlin for AI talent, underscoring the potential for Yunlin's growth.
