Yunlin Job Fair to Feature 3,000+ Positions; Formosa Plastics Offers NT$59,000 Starting Salary for Engineers

Yunlin County is set to host a major job fair on July 18, offering a significant opportunity for job seekers with over 3,000 vacancies from 80 participating companies. This event aims to bolster local employment and attract talent to the region.

In a notable first, the Formosa Plastics Group will be present, seeking to fill more than 200 positions. The company is offering competitive salaries, with engineers starting at NT$59,000 per month. On-site interviews and written tests will be conducted, with immediate hiring for successful candidates.

Yunlin County Deputy Magistrate Hsieh Shu-ya emphasized the importance of local employment for personal fulfillment and family well-being. The job fair will feature a diverse range of industries, including AI technology, semiconductors, manufacturing, food processing, logistics, retail, service, and defense.

The county's Labor Affairs and Youth Development Bureau highlighted that participating companies are vetted for compliance with labor laws. The average monthly salary offered at this year's fair has increased by NT$1,000 to NT$2,000 compared to last year. Formosa Plastics is looking to hire 200 general workers at salaries starting above NT$37,000, while engineers with university degrees can expect NT$53,000 and those with master's degrees NT$59,000, in addition to other benefits.

Other companies, such as SPIL, are offering 341 positions across various locations, including Yunlin, Changhua, and Tainan. A food company is also seeking administrative assistants for morning shifts with salaries above NT$37,000 and afternoon shifts at NT$40,000. The job fair will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with more details available on the Yunlin County Employment and Recruitment Network.
