Zagreb Prepares for Summer Swimming Season with Ready Lakes and New Pool Opening Soon

Zagreb's popular swimming spots, Jarun and Bundek lakes, are prepared to welcome swimmers this summer after undergoing regular water quality assessments. Mayor Tomislav Tomašević confirmed that the water quality meets the necessary standards for the bathing season.

In addition to the established locations, good news emerges for the western part of Zagreb with the anticipated opening of a new public swimming pool in Špansko. This project, described as one of the largest sports initiatives in the western area, is nearing completion. Following technical inspections and obtaining a usage permit, the Špansko pool is slated to open its doors to the public in early July. "I hope that we will open the pool in Špansko at the beginning of July and that citizens will be able to use it during the summer. That was our goal from the very beginning of the project," Tomašević added. This new facility promises to provide a significant recreational resource for residents in that part of the city.
