The message, printed and left on his windshield, claimed that a "contact between our cars" had occurred while he was exiting his vehicle. It requested that he contact the sender at a provided phone number to "quickly resolve" the alleged incident. The man stated he had parked his car all day and had not touched any other vehicles.

He reported the incident to the police via the MUP application and urged fellow Zagreb residents to be vigilant. Online commenters speculated about the scam's methods, with some suggesting the perpetrators might use fabricated witnesses. Others humorously noted the use of a printer, with one comment suggesting the scammer "typed it up in Word quickly, proofread it, and took a bike to the nearest print shop."
