Zagreb's former Jedinstvo factory to host 10th annual cultural festival

Zagreb's cultural hub, centered around the former Jedinstvo factory complex, is set to host its 10th "Jedinstvena vrtna zabava" (Unique Garden Party) on Saturday, June 20, 2026. This year's jubilee event promises a full day of diverse activities, transforming the spaces of Jedinstveno dvorište, Pogon Jedinstvo, Močvara, and the CirkoBalkana tent into a vibrant festival ground. The organizers, Zagreb Center for Independent Culture and Youth, aim to offer something for everyone, featuring a mix of workshops, artistic performances, sports, and musical acts.

The day kicks off with a kefir-making workshop led by Viktorija Perica and a session on tasting produce from Pogon's garden with Andrej Čoh, celebrating urban gardening. Participants can also engage in a chess tournament and a "Cirkolimpijada" organized by Cirkorama. Throughout the day, attendees can join workshops on knitting goal nets with artist Željko Beljan, a dance workshop with Tamara Curić, and a singing session with Dado Horvat. A quiz hosted by Vatroslav Miloš and Lana Pukanić, along with a unique encounter with artist DB Indoš at his "parainstitute of wonders," are also on the schedule.

As evening approaches, the event transitions to musical performances, featuring young bands like Pogon, Zippo, and Fargo, alongside surf rock veterans LHD (The Bambi Molesters). Performance artist Vlasta Delimar will also present her work, followed by a party with DJs Bangavo and Kornel. Refreshments will be available at Močvara's outdoor bar, sponsored by Nova Runda beer. While most of the day's events are free to attend, pre-registration is required for specific activities like the kefir workshop, Cirkolimpijada, chess tournament, and quiz.
