Zagreb Tram Services Disrupted After Truck Damages Overhead Cables

Tram traffic in Zagreb experienced significant disruption on Sunday morning after a truck damaged the overhead contact network on Savska Street near Koturaška. The incident led to the suspension of tram services along Savska Street and affected routes on Vukovarska, Vodnikova, Tratinska, and Ozaljska streets.

Public transport operator ZET reported that tram lines 5 and 17, operating in Prečko, were rerouted to run between Prečko and Savski Most. Additionally, some trams originating from Maksimir and Trg žrtava were redirected to Zapadni Kolodvor. Tram line 3 continued its service from Savski Most through Novi Zagreb to Držićeva and Kvaternikov trg. Lines 4 and 12 were rerouted to Zapadni Kolodvor, while line 14 was directed to Črnomerec.

To mitigate the impact on passengers, buses have been deployed to cover the routes between Savski Most and Vukovarska, and Držićeva, as well as the Ljubljanica-Golikova-Zagrebačka-Črnomerec segment. Commuters faced delays and inconvenience as they navigated the altered transport schedules.
