Zakharova: Ukraine shows a bestial Nazi smile with its attacks

Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for Russia's Foreign Ministry, has sharply condemned recent Ukrainian attacks, accusing Kyiv of revealing a "bestial Nazi grin" to the world. Her strong rhetoric came in response to Ukrainian drone strikes targeting a defense equipment company in Kirov and the Russian-controlled Zaporizhzhia region.

Zakharova asserted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his "Western puppeteers" will face severe consequences for what she termed "every crime." She specifically highlighted the attacks on Kirov, located approximately 800 kilometers northeast of Moscow, and the southern Ukrainian region of Zaporizhzhia, which is under Russian occupation.

Russian authorities reported that the Kirov attack resulted in six deaths and 26 injuries. In the Zaporizhzhia region, occupation officials claimed that at least 12 people were killed and 19 injured in drone strikes that hit a tourist facility in the village of Kirillivka. These claims could not be independently verified.

Zakharova accused Ukraine of "cold-bloodedly" targeting Russian civilians, framing the attacks as evidence of a "bestial Nazi" nature. This exchange escalates the war of words between Russia and Ukraine, with both sides frequently accusing each other of war crimes and atrocities as the conflict continues beyond four years.
