"Žalgiris" Signs New Forward from Ukraine

Vilniaus "Žalgiris" continues to strengthen its squad with the acquisition of Stanislav Bilenkyi, a 27-year-old forward from Ukraine. This signing signals the club's ambition to maintain its competitive edge in the upcoming season. Bilenkyi arrives from the Israeli championship, where he was a key player for "Ironi Tiberias," scoring 6 goals in 28 appearances during the 2025-2026 season.

"Stanislav comes from a strong Israeli championship, where he was a main squad player last season," stated "Žalgiris" Sporting Director Giedrius Klevinskas. "He is a versatile forward, capable of playing in various attacking positions, possessing speed, technique, and good game reading. Adapting to Vilnius should not be difficult for him, as he already has diverse international experience – having played in different countries and football cultures."

Bilenkyi's career includes stints in Slovakia, Poland, Belarus, and Georgia, where he won the championship title with Dinamo Tbilisi in 2022. His experience with Ukrainian youth national teams further attests to his potential. The club is eager to integrate him into the team, with official registration possible from June 15. His presentation to the fans will take place during the home match against Kauno rajono "Hegelmann," highlighting the club's commitment to engaging its supporters and showcasing new talent.
