Zampedri Furious After Draw, Cites Poor Second-Half Performance

Fernando Zampedri, captain and striker for Universidad Católica, was visibly upset following the team's 3-3 draw with Deportes La Serena. Zampedri, who scored two goals in the match, voiced his disappointment with the team's performance, particularly in the second half.

Universidad Católica had initially taken a 2-0 lead, but Deportes La Serena mounted a comeback, even taking a 3-2 lead before Zampedri's last-minute free-kick equalizer. "I finished angry about the game, about the situation. The truth is we had a great first half and showed something completely different in the second," Zampedri told TNT Sports after the match.

The captain pointed to a significant drop in the team's performance after halftime. "We lowered the pace, we lowered the intensity, we couldn't press. We will have to improve," he stated. When asked if the league standings might have affected the team's mindset, Zampedri declined to elaborate, emphasizing his frustration with the on-field events.

"I am very angry. It's a very difficult game to analyze right now. What I do know is that we had a totally bad second half for us. We will have to look at it, correct it, and keep working," concluded the "cruzado" captain.
