Zara Qairina may have remained in a coma for life if she had survived

Zara Qairina’s father told the Coroner’s Court that his daughter might have remained in a coma for the rest of her life if she were still alive.

Mahathir Mohd Hashim, 45, gave the evidence during the inquest into the death of the Form One student. He appeared as the 80th witness in the proceedings.

He said a female doctor told him this when he visited Zara Qairina. The evidence was presented at the Coroner’s Court in Kota Kinabalu.
