Zelensky Reports Six Dead, Ten Injured in Russian Attacks

Russian attacks since Friday evening have killed six people and injured ten others across Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced Saturday. The assaults included a bombardment of civilian residential buildings in the eastern city of Sloviansk and a drone strike on a Nova Post facility in Sumy, in the north.

"More than ten residential buildings were damaged by a Russian bombing in Sloviansk on Friday evening," Zelensky stated on Telegram. He condemned the three fatalities in Sumy, emphasizing that Russian forces could not have been unaware that their targets in both Sloviansk and Sumy were civilian.

Overall, Ukraine's air defenses reported intercepting 127 drones and one missile during a large-scale overnight assault. Russia reportedly deployed 159 unmanned systems in the attack, including two Kh-59/69 air-launched missiles and 157 drones, according to Ukraine's Air Force. Zelensky also lamented other attacks that damaged a residential building in Kharkiv and a market in Zaporizhzhia.
