Zelenskyy announces new talks with US representatives

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine was preparing for another round of talks with US presidential envoys, promising more information the following day.

He said Ukraine was working to prevent war from becoming the only option in the future. Zelenskyy also stressed the importance of aligning the American view of the situation at the front and of missile strikes with Kyiv’s position.

The announcement followed reports that CIA Director John Ratcliffe, during an undisclosed visit to Moscow the previous week, proposed a meeting between Donald Trump, Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin as part of efforts to end the war. Zelenskyy said the United States had informed the Ukrainian authorities about the recent meetings in Moscow.
