Zelenskyy reveals Biden did not grant licenses for Patriot missile production: 'If we had them 3-4 years ago, we would have produced for everyone'

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed that the United States and European partners withheld licenses for Patriot missile production, which Ukraine sought four years ago. Speaking in Serbia, Zelenskyy asserted that had Ukraine received these licenses earlier, it could have become a significant producer of Patriot systems for the entire world. He noted that Ukraine currently receives missiles monthly through agreements, but the quantities are insufficient. Zelenskyy mentioned that Germany and Poland are key European partners capable of supplying such missiles, with Nordic countries and the Netherlands offering support in smaller quantities. He recalled discussing Patriot licenses with then-US President Joe Biden in the first year of the war and with several European partners. Zelenskyy expressed strong conviction that former US President Donald Trump would grant the necessary licenses, suggesting that Europe's desire for Patriot systems would have already resolved the issue if they had pursued it actively. The current focus, he indicated, is on navigating the bureaucratic processes for these crucial systems.
