Zelenskyy's approval rating plummets below generals after protests

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's public trust has significantly declined, now trailing behind his top generals, a recent poll revealed. The survey by the Sozis research institute placed Zelenskyy sixth among national leaders, with only 18% of respondents expressing complete trust in him. An additional 24.5% stated partial trust, while 37% had no confidence.

The dip in approval comes after rare protests erupted in major Ukrainian cities following the late July dismissal of Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. The poll indicates that former armed forces chief Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, now an ambassador to the UK, enjoys the highest trust, with 37.1% of respondents fully trusting him and another 27.8% partially trusting him.

Fedorov himself, along with drone forces commander Robert Brovdi, also ranked higher than the president. Zelenskyy is now behind new Chief of Staff Mykhailo Drapatyi and his own office chief, Kyrylo Budanov. The findings suggest a shift in public confidence amidst ongoing conflict and recent political changes.
