Zelenskyy suggests second meeting with Trump may happen soon

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy indicated that a second meeting with former U.S. President Donald Trump could take place soon, following their recent discussions at the G7 summit in France.

Zelenskyy told Suspilne that the Ukrainian and American teams are scheduled to meet within the next 24 hours. He also mentioned the need for several important technical meetings, including discussions with British counterparts. "I think we will meet separately with the president again tomorrow," Zelenskyy added, suggesting an imminent follow-up.

During the G7 summit, Zelenskyy met with U.S. President Donald Trump. Their discussions reportedly focused on enhancing Ukraine's air defense capabilities. According to Reuters sources, Zelenskyy also presented Trump with photographs illustrating the consequences of a Russian strike on Kyiv's Pechersk Lavra, which occurred on the night of June 15.

The G7 leaders, as stated by Zelenskyy, agreed that Russia is not winning the war against Ukraine and is suffering significant personnel losses. The potential for further dialogue with Trump, a key figure in American politics, comes as Ukraine continues to seek international support for its defense efforts.
