Zelenskyy stated that "important negotiations" in France could "open up significantly more opportunities for Ukraine to strengthen its defense." He emphasized that countering ballistic missile threats will be the top priority during his visit.

This initiative marks the first meeting at the level of leaders, national security advisors, and defense companies from countries capable of contributing to the development of a new antiballistic system. Zelenskyy expressed his intention to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron and participate in a summit of the "Coalition of the Willing." He aims to "give new momentum to this format" of international defense cooperation.

During his visit, Zelenskyy also highlighted that Ukraine's First Lady, Olena Zelenska, plans to meet with the new Director-General of UNESCO to discuss the future of their strategic partnership and cooperation. Additionally, Zelenskyy will thank France for its "historic support," and Ukrainian soldiers will participate in the parade celebrating France's National Day, Bastille Day.
