Zoma's hat-trick fuels Nürnberg's winning start in Bundesliga 2

Mohamed Zoma delivered a standout performance, scoring all three goals in FC Nürnberg's dominant 3-0 win against Dynamo Dresden. This victory propelled the team to second place in the league after a shaky start last season. Zoma, who also scored a hat-trick in Germany last year, celebrated by taking the match ball, joking he would sleep with it.

The 22-year-old forward, who joined Nürnberg from Italy's third division a year ago, has benefited from a full pre-season. Despite his crucial role and the club setting a €20 million transfer fee threshold, Zoma's future remains uncertain as the transfer window is still open. "If I stay, I stay. If I go, I go. I can't know right now," he stated after the match.

Coach Miroslav Klose expressed confidence in Zoma's continued presence. "I am really optimistic and in good spirits. The boy knows he is not finished," Klose said, adding that Zoma feels very comfortable and is well-liked by his teammates. Klose believes Zoma has no immediate desire to leave.

Nürnberg's defense, featuring new center-backs Fynn Otto and Alexios Kalogeropoulos, showed minor coordination issues but were largely untroubled by Dresden's attack. Adam Markhiev controlled the midfield effectively. Zoma was substituted in the 85th minute to applause from the home crowd.
