Zumtobel appoints Heiner Lang as new CEO

Lighting manufacturer Zumtobel Group is appointing Heiner Lang as its new Chief Executive Officer, signaling a strategic shift for the Austrian company.

Lang will take over the chairmanship of the board starting October 1.

Lang, who holds a doctorate in engineering, brings a wealth of experience from international industrial firms. He most recently served as the managing director of Wago, a German company, where he oversaw operational business starting in January 2021. Prior to that, he was a board member at Bosch Rexroth AG. Zumtobel's supervisory board stated that Lang's appointment is intended to leverage his expertise to further develop the company's growth strategy.

Felder will remain until the end of the year to hand over the agendas.

The transition will see Lang join the management board on September 1 and officially take over as CEO from Alfred Felder on October 1. Felder, who has been on Zumtobel's board for the past decade, including eight years as CEO, will facilitate the handover process throughout the remainder of 2026. He will continue to offer advisory services to the company to ensure continuity during this period.

Lang is a promovierter engineer and has many years of experience in specialist and management functions at internationally active industrial companies.

Zumtobel, headquartered in Dornbirn, Austria, is a publicly listed company. The leadership change comes as the company aims to build on its existing experience and drive its growth forward under new management.
