13 Dead, Including Foreign Tourists, in Peru Plane Crash Near Nazca Lines

A tragic accident near Peru's famed Nazca Lines has claimed the lives of 13 people, including foreign tourists. The small plane, operated by the company Aerodiana, crashed shortly after takeoff during a scenic flight over the ancient geoglyphs.

Peruvian President Dina Boluarte expressed profound sorrow over the incident, which involved 11 passengers and two crew members. She confirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is actively contacting the consulates of the foreign nationals who perished in the crash.
