14-Year-Old Dies After Electrocution and Fall from Roof in Turkey

A tragic accident in Şanlıurfa, Turkey, claimed the life of a 14-year-old boy, Bayram Efe Karapınar. The incident occurred in the Yaslıca neighborhood when Karapınar was on the roof of his family's two-story home, engaged in flying pigeons.

Tragically, a metal rod Karapınar was holding came into contact with an overhead power line. The resulting electric shock caused him to lose his balance and fall from the roof onto the concrete ground below. Emergency services and gendarmerie were dispatched to the scene following reports from bystanders.

Despite receiving initial medical attention at the scene and being transported to Bozova Mehmet Enver Yıldırım State Hospital, Karapınar's injuries proved fatal. He passed away during treatment in the emergency room. His death occurred just one day before he was expected to receive his school report card. Karapınar was laid to rest in the Yaslıca neighborhood amidst the grief of his family and community.
