150 Motorcyclists Pause in Distomo During 36-Hour Endurance Tour of Greece

The picturesque town of Distomo welcomed a vibrant contingent of approximately 150 motorcyclists this past Saturday, as they made a significant stop during the 27th Endurance Tour of Greece. Organized by the esteemed Hellenic Moto Guzzi Club, this event is more than just a ride; it's a testament to the enduring spirit of adventure and a celebration of Greece's stunning landscapes.

The riders (who had spent the night in Eretria and passed through Helicon – Arvanitsa) enjoyed the organizers' sandwiches and coffee and soft drinks at Distomo's cafes. Several visited the Museums and others... stretched their legs in the surrounding alleys for almost 3 hours.

These dedicated riders, having already traversed from Evia to Mount Helicon, found a moment of respite in Distomo's charming Lower Square. They were treated to local refreshments and sandwiches, a welcome pause before continuing their epic journey. Some took the opportunity to explore the local museums, while others simply savored the atmosphere, stretching their legs after hours on the road. This 36-hour tour, spanning 1,500 to 1,700 kilometers, is meticulously designed to showcase the most beautiful, often remote, provincial roads of Greece, demanding both endurance and a deep appreciation for the ride.
