19-year-old fatally stabbed after social media argument in Istanbul

A violent confrontation in Istanbul has resulted in the death of a 19-year-old, Ali Anzo, who was fatally stabbed after a dispute that began on social media. The incident occurred around 2:00 AM in a park in the Yedikule neighborhood.

According to initial reports, four Syrian individuals had arranged to meet in person after an argument on social media, the cause of which remains unclear. The meeting quickly devolved into a physical altercation, during which Ali Anzo and another individual, Ali Hilal, were seriously injured by knife wounds.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene. Despite receiving initial medical attention, Ali Anzo succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Ali Hilal is currently receiving treatment for his injuries. Police have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the individuals involved in the attack.

The father of the victim, Hüseyin Anzo, expressed his grief and called for justice, stating, "My son died immediately. We went to the hospital, there was nothing they could do, he died right away. May the state take my right, that's all I want."

Alaa Hasan, a cousin of the victim, recounted that the argument initially started over something on Instagram, and the individuals agreed to meet to reconcile. However, upon arrival, the attackers allegedly assaulted Ali Anzo without any further discussion. Hasan added that the father found his son on the ground, having been stabbed in the heart.
