2026 Nomad Games: Kyrgyzstan Takes the Lead in Horse Racing Events

Horse racing competitions at the sixth World Nomad Games produced multiple victories for Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan at the hippodrome in Cholpon-Ata.

Kyrgyzstan took the 6,000-meter Byshты jorgo race, where Erke finished first, followed by Kolonvuud and Padjet. Kyrgyzstan also won the 11,000-meter jorgo race, with Akzholtoy in first place and Imperatritsa second.

Kazakhstan dominated the 25,000-meter Alaman baige, taking all four listed places. Aiman won ahead of Kökserек, Karagash and Sarmat. Kazakhstan also recorded victories in the 2,400-meter and 3,200-meter short-distance races, while Tajikistan's Khutulun won the 1,600-meter event.

In the 12,000-meter Kunan chabysh, Kazakhstan's Nurshashu finished first. Kyrgyzstan's Paris came second, followed by Kazakhstan's Bestau and Prince Connect. Prize awards listed in the results ranged from 300,000 som for fourth place to 1.5 million som for the winner of the jorgo race and Alaman baige.
