2027 Hajj: Pilgrim registration to be conducted online only

Preparations for the 2027 Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages in Kyrgyzstan are underway, with a significant shift towards digital registration processes. The first meeting of the interdepartmental commission tasked with organizing these significant religious journeys took place at the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan.

The commission, whose members were introduced at the meeting, delved into the upcoming tasks for organizing the 2027 Hajj and Umrah. Key areas of discussion included the timelines and requirements for upcoming tenders. These tenders will cover crucial aspects such as pilgrim registration, airline selection, vaccination arrangements, and the preparation of a unified vest for pilgrims.

A notable change for the 2027 Hajj is the implementation of a new registration procedure and regulations. Pilgrims will register through a unified digital system. Furthermore, citizens will have the option to register via the "Umrah-Hajj" mobile application, which is available for both iOS and Android platforms.

The meeting also addressed issues related to Umrah services, as current agreements are nearing expiration. Discussions focused on accrediting companies wishing to provide Umrah services, renewing contracts, and developing new requirements and procedures to ensure smooth operations for future Umrah pilgrims.
