2027: Peter Obi urges Nigerians to register to vote

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party in Nigeria's 2023 general election, has called on eligible citizens to participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise. Obi emphasized that voter registration is the fundamental step toward achieving good governance in the country.

During unscheduled visits to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) voter registration centers in Anambra State, Obi expressed encouragement at the turnout of Nigerians registering to vote. He commended those who had already participated and urged all eligible citizens to follow suit. Obi stressed that the pursuit of good governance begins with voter registration, not on Election Day itself.
