2027: We will not bow to intimidation, Adeleke vows

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has declared his administration's unwavering resolve to resist "provocations" and any attempts to undermine the democratic will of the state's residents. Addressing party members and supporters in Ayedaade Local Government Area, Adeleke emphasized that his government prioritizes the proper management of state resources and the improvement of people's lives.

Our people continue to demonstrate remarkable resilience in the face of repeated provocations. Let me state it clearly once again: we will resist, through lawful and democratic means, any attempt to undermine the will of the great people of Osun State. We will not bow to intimidation, regardless of where it comes from.

Adeleke stated that his administration's record in governance is evident across all sectors, marked by people-centered policies, prudent resource management, and impactful projects. He asserted that the people of Osun have demonstrated remarkable resilience in the face of repeated provocations and vowed that his government would resist any efforts to subvert their mandate through lawful and democratic channels.

As the election approaches, the governor called for continued peace, vigilance, and unity among his supporters. He believes that the strongest response to intimidation is discipline and a significant turnout at the polls. The governor's remarks come amid reports that the Nigerian Bar Association criticized the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for freezing the state government's accounts without due legal process, a move the state government claims is politically motivated to hinder the payment of palliative measures to workers.
