30 foreigners from 'Los Intocables del Sur' arrested in Cieneguilla; notebook with victim names found

Peruvian police have dismantled a suspected criminal organization known as 'Los Intocables del Sur' during an operation in Cieneguilla. The raid resulted in the arrest of 30 foreign nationals, comprising 17 men and 13 women. Authorities confiscated a cache of illegal items, including firearms, ammunition, drugs, vehicles, and mobile phones.

A significant discovery during the operation was a notebook containing names and annotations, which investigators believe may belong to alleged victims of the organization. Police are examining these records to determine if the individuals listed are connected to extortion, protection rackets, or other illicit activities attributed to the gang. Six individuals attempted to flee the scene but were apprehended by officers.

Authorities are also investigating a potential link between 'Los Intocables del Sur' and the Tren de Aragua, a Venezuelan-origin criminal network with a presence across several South American countries. One of the detainees, identified as Luis Jordan Díaz Cereso, 23, is reportedly connected to a faction of the Tren de Aragua. Police are working to ascertain his role within the criminal structure and his involvement in activities such as extortion and contract killings.

Further investigations are underway to confirm the organization's alleged involvement in extortion, contract killings, protection rackets, human trafficking, illegal firearms possession, and drug trafficking. One of the 11 seized vehicles is reportedly linked to a kidnapping and homicide case where an engineer's body was found in Lima after being abducted in Cajamarca. Police are analyzing the vehicles to reconstruct movements and establish potential connections to the crime.
