6,804 Gallons of Zamzam Water Prepared for Hajj Pilgrims from South and Central Kalimantan

A total of 6,804 gallons of Zamzam water have been prepared for Hajj pilgrims from South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan who are departing from the Banjarmasin Embarkation for the 1447 Hijriah/2026 Hajj season. The distribution of this sacred water is a key logistical task managed by the Hajj Pilgrimage Organizing Committee (PPIH) Embarkasi Banjarmasin.

Eddy Khairani, the head of PPIH Embarkasi Banjarmasin, confirmed that the Zamzam water is already stored in the dormitory's warehouse and is ready for distribution when the pilgrims return. The quantity of water directly corresponds to the total number of pilgrims, which is 6,804 individuals organized into 19 batches from both provinces.

Each pilgrim is allocated one five-liter gallon of Zamzam water. The distribution logistics involve delivering the gallons to the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenhaj) offices in various regencies and cities for the South Kalimantan pilgrims. For Central Kalimantan pilgrims, the Kemenhaj office will handle the direct collection of the water. Khairani emphasized the spiritual significance of Zamzam water for pilgrims and their families, underscoring the need for meticulous distribution to ensure everyone receives their share on time. Coordination with local governments is ongoing to facilitate a smooth and unhindered distribution process.
