6 Egyptian universities rank among world’s top 1,000 in 2026 Shanghai Ranking

Six Egyptian universities have earned a spot among the world's top 1,000 institutions in the prestigious 2026 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), also known as the Shanghai Ranking. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced this significant achievement, underscoring the progress of Egyptian higher education on the global stage.

The latest edition of the ranking assessed more than 2,500 universities and higher education institutions worldwide. The inclusion of these six Egyptian universities signifies their growing research output, academic quality, and international recognition.
