70-year-old former councilor Wang Chao-kun re-enters Taichung election, prioritizes hospital branch

Seventy-year-old former city councilor Wang Chao-kun announced his candidacy for the upcoming Taichung City Council elections in Taiwan's fourth constituency, which covers Fengyuan and Houli districts. Wang, an independent candidate, is making a comeback after being disqualified from the 2018 election due to a violation of the Farmers' Association Act.

Wang, who hails from Houli and has a background as chairman of the Houli Township Representative Council, standing supervisor of the Houli Farmers' Association, and a director of the Zhenlan Temple, is actively campaigning for public support. He has recently been seen at various events in Fengyuan and Houli.

His campaign platform emphasizes improving healthcare resources in the Houli area. Wang stated his commitment to advancing the Fengyuan Hospital Houli Branch project, asserting that good medical infrastructure means timely and secure care for elders, children, and all families when needed. He aims to make Houli and Fengyuan better places with more hope for the future.
