81-year-old woman found stabbed ten times; 13-year-old granddaughter is prime suspect

Police are investigating the death of an 81-year-old woman who was found with ten stab wounds inside her home in Cerrito. The situation was reported by her 13-year-old granddaughter, who is now considered the primary suspect in the case.

The incident came to light on Sunday afternoon when police received multiple calls reporting screams from the elderly woman's residence. Her granddaughter also contacted emergency services, initially claiming her grandmother had committed suicide. However, investigators quickly determined this was not the case upon arriving at the scene, noting the multiple stab wounds on the victim's body.
