AAU Alumni Launch Global Fund Drive to Complete Records Centre, Honour Donors

The Worldwide President of the Ambrose Alli University (AAU) Alumni Association, Dr. Clifford Omozeghian, has initiated a global appeal for financial support to complete the association's multi-million-naira Examination and Records Building Project. He described the initiative as a crucial investment in the university's future and the well-being of its worldwide alumni.

Speaking during an interactive session with alumni in Canada, Omozeghian explained that the project, currently at the decking stage, is set to transform academic record management. It will expedite the processing of transcripts and certificates, offering enduring institutional support for generations of graduates. This effort addresses a common challenge faced by many Nigerian universities, where delays in issuing transcripts and verifying credentials hinder graduates' progress in seeking foreign admissions, employment, and professional certifications.

The project has come this far because of the commitment of our members. However, we need every graduate of Ambrose Alli University to play a role in bringing this vision to reality.

While the completed facility will be handed over to Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma, Omozeghian emphasized that the primary beneficiaries will be the alumni themselves. They rely on timely access to their academic records for career advancement and further studies globally. "The project has come this far because of the commitment of our members. However, we need every graduate of Ambrose Alli University to play a role in bringing this vision to reality," he urged.

Omozeghian highlighted that the project transcends a mere physical structure, envisioning it as a legacy that will enhance administrative efficiency, modernize records management, and strengthen service delivery within the university. To foster widespread participation, he announced that all donors, regardless of the amount, will have their names permanently inscribed in the building's Hall of Fame, recognizing their contribution to what he termed a landmark project in the university's history. Donation categories range from "Diamond" (₦101 million and above) to "Bronze" (₦100,000 to ₦999,999).
