AbdulRazaq receives new army battalion deployed to Kwara

Kwara State is set to receive a significant boost in its security apparatus with the deployment of a new Nigerian Army battalion to Omu-Aran, the headquarters of Irepodun Local Government Area. Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq met with senior army officials to discuss the arrival of the troops.

It was pleasant to welcome the troops to Kwara State. I thank the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Waidi Shaibu, for the swift deployment. I am confident that this new deployment will boost our peace and security efforts in the state.

Governor AbdulRazaq, who shared the update on his Facebook page, expressed his gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Waidi Shaibu, for the swift deployment. He stated his confidence that the new battalion will strengthen security operations, particularly in the ongoing efforts to combat banditry, kidnapping, and other criminal activities plaguing the state.

"I am confident that this new deployment will boost our peace and security efforts in the state," AbdulRazaq remarked. He also revealed that preparations are underway for the deployment of another army battalion to the Patigi area, indicating a broader strategy to enhance security across Kwara.
