Abu Dhabi: 5 major Arabic concerts happening from August to October

Music enthusiasts in Abu Dhabi are set for a vibrant cultural season with five major Arabic concerts scheduled from August to October. The Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi announced a lineup featuring some of the region's most celebrated artists, promising a diverse showcase of musical styles.

The concert series kicks off on August 28 at Etihad Arena with a performance by Ruby, Mahmoud El Esseily, and Pousi, blending Egyptian pop and shaabi music. Following this, Ahmed Saad and Disco Misr will take the stage at Space42 Arena on September 19, offering electronic reinterpretations of Arabic classics. Boudchart is set to bring his interactive live music experience to Space42 Arena on October 3.

From high energy pop and shaabi favorites to soulful voices, bold modern interpretations and powerful orchestral arrangements, these concerts offer something for every kind of music lover.

Further enriching the program, a tribute to heritage music will be presented on October 9 at Space42 Arena. The Nagham concert will feature the Heritage Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Mohammed Al Qahoom, reimagining traditional melodies through orchestral arrangements. The season culminates on October 17 at Etihad Arena with a joint performance by Tamer Hosny and Tamer Ashour, highlighting Hosny's stage presence and Ashour's songwriting.

Fakhry Alsarraj, Director of Abu Dhabi Events Bureau, expressed excitement about the season's offerings, stating that the concerts will celebrate the "richness, diversity and enduring appeal of Arabic music in all its forms." The events aim to attract audiences from Abu Dhabi, the UAE, and beyond, providing a platform to experience the varied sounds of Arabic music, from high-energy pop to soulful classical and orchestral interpretations.
