Aceh Governor Appoints Taufik as Acting Regional Secretary After Nasir's Dismissal

Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf, widely known as Mualem, has appointed Taufik to serve as the Acting Regional Secretary (Plt Sekda) of Aceh. This move follows the dismissal of the previous secretary, M. Nasir, from his post through Presidential Decree No. 95/TPA of 2026.

Simultaneously, M. Nasir has been appointed as the Head of the Aceh Library and Archives Service. The official swearing-in ceremony for these appointments took place in a hybrid format across two locations on Monday, August 24. During the ceremony, the Vice Governor of Aceh, Fadhlullah, stated that Nasir's new appointment was made directly on Governor Mualem's orders.

Fadhlullah acknowledged Nasir's significant contributions during his tenure as Regional Secretary. "However, that is the decision of the Governor, and he has been appointed and given a new position," the Vice Governor remarked, indicating the governor's prerogative in the decision. The presidential decree, signed in Jakarta on August 21, 2026, formally relieved M. Nasir of his duties as Regional Secretary, citing his service and contributions.

The decree stipulated that M. Nasir's dismissal from the Regional Secretary position would be effective from the date he was installed in his new role. The Secretariat of Cabinet Support, through a letter dated August 22, 2026, requested the Aceh Provincial Government to promptly implement the presidential decision and inform the concerned individual.
