Actor Króli Describes Post-Birth Period as 'Hardest Time of My Life'

Icelandic actor and musician Kristinn Óli Haraldsson, widely known as Króli, described the period following the birth of his first child as the most difficult time of his life. He and his partner, Birta Ásmundsdóttir, welcomed their child, Össur, at the end of 2025.

Króli recounted the intense pressure he faced, with only a month separating his child's birth from the premiere of a play called 'Ormstunga.' Simultaneously, he was performing in 'Lína Langsokkur' and had recently directed a production. This demanding schedule left him with profound parental guilt, a feeling he admitted would be even greater if not for his partner's unwavering support.

He detailed practicing for two simultaneous shows from 10 a.m. until midnight, resulting in him seeing his family very little for about three weeks.
