Croatian actress Daria Lorenci Flatz has weighed into a public spat between singer Jacques Houdek and emerging artist Duška Brčić-Šušak, advocating for private communication over public criticism.

The public exchange began after Houdek publicly commented on Brčić-Šušak's rendition of the song "Ostavljam te samu" at an event honoring Oliver Dragojević. Houdek described her voice as "sick" and a "diagnosis on the vocal cords," urging her to seek help. Brčić-Šušak responded, stating that while she respected his opinion on her singing style, her vocal health was confirmed as fine by a recent medical examination.

Following Brčić-Šušak's reply, opera singer Irena Parlov joined the discussion, agreeing with Houdek and asserting that vocal health involves more than just the vocal cords. Parlov stated that Brčić-Šušak's vocal cords did not appear healthy and expressed regret that a talented individual might not reach their full potential.

I must agree with Jacques because everyone is sending me this video. The voice is not made only by vocal cords, even if they are without nodules, polyps etc....
