Actress's lawyer denies German arrest warrant claims, cites slander and forgery

Allegations have surfaced in the Turkish media suggesting that actress Biran Damla Yılmaz is subject to an arrest warrant in Germany due to outstanding medical expenses and alleged fraud. Reports circulating on platforms like MagazinBurada claim that a warrant was issued for the seventh time because Yılmaz failed to appear at the fourth hearing of a case concerning alleged fraud.

We were saddened to witness the news appearing in various press and broadcasting organizations today regarding an arrest warrant in Germany due to unpaid health expenses for Biran Damla Yılmaz.

These claims build upon earlier reports from journalist Mehmet Üstündağ, which stated Yılmaz owed around 144,000 euros for dental work, fillings, and Botox treatments in Germany. These reports suggested legal proceedings were initiated due to unpaid bills. However, Yılmaz had previously refuted these claims, asserting that the procedures were not purely for aesthetic purposes but were necessary for her health.

First of all, it should be stated that; an injunction decision was given on 12.06.2026 within the scope of Istanbul Family Court's case numbered 2026/4650 D. İş against Abdurrahman Aydın, who spreads slander by disseminating baseless information with fake documents.

In response to the recent arrest warrant rumors, Yılmaz's lawyer, Murat Umut Akbeniz, issued a strong official statement. Akbeniz categorically denied the allegations, expressing distress over the news being published in various media outlets. He emphasized that there is no judicial proceeding or arrest warrant against Biran Damla Yılmaz in Germany.

Furthermore, an investigation has been launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office with the investigation number 2026/109643 within the scope of threat, persistent stalking, and other crimes.

The lawyer further stated that the accusations are based on slander and forged documents spread by an individual named Abdurrahman Aydın. Akbeniz revealed that a restraining order was issued against Aydın on June 12, 2026, in Istanbul Family Court, and that an investigation has been launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for threats, stalking, and other offenses. The lawyer also indicated that Aydın has been found to be tampering with official German and Turkish documents to demand money from Yılmaz. Akbeniz concluded by asserting that the claims are baseless, factually inaccurate, and purely imaginary, and that all legal rights will be exercised against such publications.
